342 Ranch is owned and operated by Scott and Lynette Lovelis, dedicated to raising top-quality registered cattle for premium beef production. Our program focuses on select bloodlines known for superior genetics, proven maternal traits, and exceptional beef quality.
By building our herd from select, high-performance cattle, we're able to uphold the highest standards in marbling, tenderness, and growth potential.
Our cattle are registered with American Angus Association, meaning they meet rigorous standards for pedigree, health, and temperament. By raising registered Angus, we are able to carefully select breeding stock based on these established traits. We work closely with genetic experts to continually improve herd quality while maintaining the highest level of ethical breeding practices.
Building the Future Through Genetics
At 342 Angus Ranch, we are committed to continually improving our registered Angus herd. Through careful breeding decisions and the use of embryo transfer, we are bringing proven, high-quality bloodlines into our program to strengthen performance, maternal ability, structural quality and carcass potential.
Featuring HNM Kevlar 265 X B & B Rita Genetics
We are excited to introduce HNM Kevlar 265 (AAA No. 20884637) genetics to the 342 Angus Ranch program through a select group of embryos.
Kevlar combines an impressive pedigree with the power, growth, performance and quality we are striving to build into the future of our herd.
A January 2024 son of Beal Breakthrough, Kevlar was Lot 1 at the 2026 National Angus Bull Sale and the second-highest-selling bull, bringing $75,000. His combination of pedigree and performance made him an exciting addition to our genetic lineup.
On the maternal side, these embryos are out of B & B Rita 0184 (AAA No. 20083879), a proven donor with an impressive track record. Rita was the top-selling open heifer at the 2022 Angus Hill Sale in Randolph, New York, selling for $135,000 at just under two years of age.
At 342 Angus Ranch, we are proud to bring together these two outstanding genetic pieces through HNM Kevlar 265 × B & B Rita 0184. This carefully selected mating represents our commitment to utilizing proven, high-value genetics and making intentional breeding decisions that will strengthen our herd for generations to come.
Why We Invest in Embryo Transfer
Embryo transfer allows us to make meaningful genetic progress by pairing outstanding sires with carefully selected donor females. This gives us the opportunity to build a more consistent herd while focusing on the traits that matter most to our operation:
Looking Toward the Future
These Kevlar x B & B Rita embryos represent another exciting step forward for 342 Angus Ranch. Our goal is to develop registered Angus cattle that combine exceptional genetics with the practical qualities needed to perform in the pasture and produce premium-quality beef.
We are proud of the direction our program is headed and look forward to sharing updates on these pregnancies and as our future calves develop.
